finally found wal mart kevin smith
What did Alec Baldwin do???
He shot someone due to a gun he was using having a real bullet instead of a blank
@@dannyb9904 Jesus, I’m almost scared to ask if that’s all
@@swagsloth4037 yes that is all. It was an accident.
@@MK-ry3lg ok, thanks
Whether its in the movie or not we know they will watch Lydia die. So might as well do it.
Belief does not make it true or false . It will stay whatever it is . No matter what the belief is or isn't .
bro the movie sucked regardless
It was pretty good, some of the jokes didn’t land, but still
Repent and believe the Gospel of Jesus Christ
Feel like they had too many antagonist and they rushed to wrap up all those threads too quickly. Just made it feel anticlimactic.
It was a terrible movie. I can no longer trust Rotten Tomatoes, nor the general public 🤣
Black and White world views aren’t “inherently Christian”, that implies it wouldn’t exist *without* Christianity. Black/White, Us Vs Them, i.e Tribalism has existed since we were cavemen. It isn’t an “…inherently Christian” worldview, it’s an *inherently close-minded* worldview; it’s kinda close-minded to imply that it’s mostly Christianity/Christian’s fault. I’m not saying it’s impossible for hateful people to be drawn to *literal* interpretations of biblical verses, cherry picking the ones that support their twisted beliefs. However it’s unkind to paint the whole of one peoples with a broad brush
Ok, but the modern interpretation of what Good vs Evil is here in America, comes from the God Vs The Devil mentality that has been popularized by the Christian church. Obviously they aren’t the only ones that believe in Good vs Evil, but a lot of our history of interpreting this belief comes from the Christian faith. Before that, including the Roman/Greek faith, didn’t depict good and evil the same way. I mean just look at the story of Zeus. To say that it’s not an inherently Christian belief, especially in the modern era of America, is a bit of a misstep. Appreciate the deep dive though!
Ragnar Loafbrok
U both kinda resemble flatulence
Interesting...
The second one sucked
I watched it and it is really good
I used to believe in karmic relief until my 62 yr old aunt, the sweetest most loving person I've ever met, got cancer. It's a kind of cancer with no known causes and no genetic factors, yet the best person I know got it and didn't find out until it was stage 4. Fractured my view on reality big time.
I'm so sorry to hear that but thank you so very much for sharing. Life and the universe is a very strange but wonderful place, and the answer may never come as to why terrible things can happen to the best of us. I hope you have found healing in some way, and if you haven't just know we hear you!
@@CineMeal Thank you so much for your reply. I have found acceptance of the situation, but healing is a long way off for now. I thankfully have an amazing support system to help me through it all.
The original was better.
I just had FB memories of us trying to sing the cantina song😂 Aimée was dancing in the background 🥹🖤
Glad we never found out what he thought
Terrible
I like the tree house bit, fairly original, but cannot remember anything else other than a complete lack of the greatest effects ever in a children's film.
There has been a recent trend of a lot of movies lately where im basically like "well...that was a movie" sold 5/10 not bad but also didnt need to be made.
Cry about it
rofl super original
I used to watch Roald Dahl's The Witches (1990) as a kid. It may not have been horror proper but they scared the hell out of me. I was always fascinated by the transformation scenes.
This review vocalised everything I have been feeling about this movie but didnt know how to put into words!!!!
It's not very spooky, but Matilda is one of my favorite witch movies. ✨️
Such a great flick!
can't quite put my finger on it but I have a feeling these people enjoy horror movies.
I mean maybe a little.
Damn, catching up on the backlog
Juicy
Recently came across this podcast and I think it’s the second or third I’ve listened to. God I’d love to be a third host or guest speaker. This describes exactly what I’ve been missing. A friend and I have bonded over our love for/exposure to horror films since very young and have had a traumatic upbringing. The latter being thanks to undiagnosed mental illness was from our mothers, religious trauma, and growing up queer in the black community in the south. I have comfort classic horror films I will rewatch to this day. They help me process and center myself. Like a long overdue bubble bath if that makes sense. Really hope this podcast grows.
Thank you for sharing that with us for real! Do you mind if we shout you out on the next episode?
Yes! That music at the end was a dead giveaway!
Lol @ "the Jeffrey Jones in the room."
rofl
I HATED that Dark Shadows movie!
Absolutely terrible!
@CineMeal The TV reboot in the '90s was so much better than that movie. Such sad trash!
I think I enjoy it more each time I see it. But the Delores plot line was pretty unnecessary. But that flashback to their wedding makes me laugh so hard.
I think the first horror movie i saw was friday the 13th. it was the very early 80's, we had something called ON tv which was like a precursor to HBO. also The Twilight Zone was just always on. The little girl who disappears into the wall was my favorite.. that, and Talking Tina. My parents took us to see Poltergeist at the drive in, scared the shit out of me but also i loved it.
Primo choice Freddy!
Ooo i really like that idea it makes more sense
I very first experience with horror was watching The Headless Horseman as a child and loving it. My next experience was sneaking into a showing of Jaws 2, which scared me to death and was terrified of going into the water for a long time.
Another great episode with lots of great stuff to think about. You guys work so well together. Can’t wait to see the next episode.
We always appreciate the love!
I remember watching The Craft while I was at my neighbor's house when I was a tween, and it scared me, but it also became a slight obsession for me. I remember going to school and talking with someone who also had seen it and they were immediately annoyed with me about how much I was talking about it. 😢 such a good movie! Just rewatched it the other day *chefs kiss* I was a bit of scaredy cat when I was a kid tho...I remember being at my cousins house and in the next room they were watching the OG IT movie and all I remember is screaming 😢xD but when the remake came out, I actually really liked it and now I need to watch the OG
Everything is scary when you're a kid. Thanks for sharing!
Brainscan is a great! 👌
When that demon filled bottle gets broken, I'll be there, man. Rules to live by are important. A "good man" doesn't need rules.
I’ve been wanting to go down the rabbit hole of watching more horror movies, especially after watching The Exorcist and laughing throughout the movie because all I could think of was “Scary Movie 2.” One of the most messed up movies I’ve watched with my Dad is “Johnny Got His Gun,” the movie that was used throughout Metallica’s “One” video. Definitely looking forward to more of yalls podcast so I can continue down this rabbit hole of Terrorpy! 😊
Mari not liking The Witch? That’s a hard one to swallow. It is a slow burn but it’s very worth the wait.
What a great show. I am so happy to hear that convention was able to lift your spirits. I also loved the movie It because of the friendship in the movie. There are some others that I like, though they are not like friendships in the movie It but I do like Cabin in the Woods and the original The Hills have Eyes. Though speaking of Stephen King movies that make me cry is Stand by Me. Not really a horror film but a great friendship film.
Yes it was! Stand by Me is a great film for that friendship feels.
I realized a couple of years ago the reason why I love horror, the final girl trope. I had never really paid attention to the fact that horror for the most part is a feminist genre. There's a few books on my list about this topic! I don't currently have a tribe who loves horror as much as I do. However, I feel like a do have an online tribe.
Thanks for sharing! Curious what books those are though.
@@CineMeal Monster, She Wrote: The Women Who Pioneered Horror and Speculative Fiction and Women Make Horror: Filmmaking, Feminism, Genre are on my list!
speaking of movies where you don't know what is reality and not.. Mulholland Dr. is a must see. its pretty dark tho. David Lynch is my all time favorite so...
David Lynch is greatness!
The making of the Texas Chainsaw Massacre documentary is almost as gross as the actual movie. definitely recommend
I could've saved you the torture of watching Tarot by telling you how bad it was. . . But then we wouldn't have this video.
I liked Pearl the best of the 3
I have a soft spot for Jason, too! So many people failed him. He deserves justice. When I hear Summer horror, I immediately think of Sleepaway Camp. I remember the first time my siblings and I watched it and kept saying how good it was! Great job!! Loving this series!
Thank you!
I am sorry Justin, but I agree with Freddy on this movie.
It's ok, I understand...
