    Truly shocking to see how bad it has become, and the terrible condition of those caravans. Yet, with spiralling costs and the widening margin between the haves and have nots, the situation will only worsen. Similarly, there will always be those that perceives this style of living as freedom, a middle finger to the establishment. Meanwhile, many hardworking homeowners may well wish them moved on; there is validity in both arguments. However, worth questioning is the governments ability to rehome migrants, whilst overlooking significant amount of potential UK tax payers.

      thanks for watching. I think (having personally been around) that there are various narratives at play. Migrants, local folk, mental health, everyone in economic need. The one thing I did not see was anyone doing it as a 'lifestyle choice' .. OK maybe one couple had rented out thier redland house and were now 'on tour' off to europe n the summer.. but that is a tiny tiny minority. Sure the locals have a right to complain.. but complian to thier governtment who is failing to home (or create economic conditions where people can thrive and home themselves) everyone.

    wait for pedestrians to leave the zebra crossing before proceeding.

    • @sammorganmoore
      @sammorganmoore 9 месяцев назад

      Give way or wait? Which highway code rule? Yes I can see that maybe the crosser would have found my move intimidating so a critisism is fair. But also I am making a trade off in keeping my speed which means I am moving close to the motor vehicle traffic speed and 20 limit and not therefore holding the traffic or annoying drivers.. which is safe for me. If I had stopped then I would accelerate slowly (versus a petrol vehicle) holding any vehicles behind me tempting them into a dangerous overtake. The road planners fail to understand the value of keepng up speed if you are human powerered.

    • @harveytadman
      @harveytadman 9 месяцев назад

      Hello Sam. my point is that I believe the Highway Code and consideration for the vulnerable dictates that the pedestrian should be allowed to safely leave the crossing, be it to an island or the pavement opposite before stationary vehicles move off. The reason for this is to prevent confusion between road users who must give way when the crossing is in use, i.e. vehicles must wait. Even if the vehicle looses speed. I agree with your last sentence. Maybe laws regarding motorised vehicles overtaking pedal bikes requires reviewing ?@@sammorganmoore

      Thanks for watching. I dont think you are alone in not being able to confidently see at 'five o clock'. I failed to mention that one is climbing too so coming to a stop is extra annoting to lose ones momentum. I dont know if it is a hotel right now as they seem to have some security on the bollards that is new. Whatever. Every cyclist has to proceed with caution in the risk of coming together with a vehicle.. it doesnt matter if it is four a day or 100 per an hour we still need caution and to lose our momentum as we cannot chane it.

  • @jimjones7821
    @jimjones7821 2 года назад

    Thats really good stuff Sam! Great to see this so thanks very much for uploading this. Why did the screen go black at the end just before you changed the ND ? It is very very slow but its better then nothing. Being able to see what the camera is seeing remotely on the end of a long ethernet run is incredible. To be able to toggle the record ON/Off will be really useful.

    • @sammorganmoore
      @sammorganmoore 2 года назад

      It seems that the screen goes black when you load the thing up with instructions, the image comes back. Basically you need to make an instruction (chnage iso, nd, focus area) and let it become happy with that instruction befroe confusing it with another one. Poor little thing. So just go slow to avoid blackouts maybe.

      @@jimjones7821 jim - note my new answer above. basically i used a new router.. an old 'bt home hub' - I have the admin login for this router. Using the admin browser on the ipad I can see what is attached to the router. the canon showed up as xx.xx.xx.149 or something (not xx.xx.xx.80 as in the many yt videos) in the router admin software. When I pointed my broswer (web page) to xx.xx.xx.149 the canon camera could then be found and after using its login and password (set it on the camera maybe c200/hello or something simple) I could control the camera using the browser - it is pretty laggy but works and is much better than climbing a jib or rig to change the settings.
