Late October snowstorm produced 5 inches of snow at the cabin and high temps of 28 degrees Fahrenheit, winter has already started! I made a day trip to the cabin to get it ready for deer hunting the following week, thanks for watching!

They published his journals? Wow I remember seeing that documentary on PBS a long time ago. He was something special. Seeing him walking through his path he shoveled, all you could see was his head sticking up out of the snow.

Why don't you just turn on your oven to heat the cabin? Maybe even boil 2 or 3 big pots of water it will heat up quick like a radiator and put some humidity in the air.

Yes it is, Spencer bench cabin in the Chugach National Forest.

Hi Brandon! Are you getting drafts between logs? If not probably no need to chink. It looks like this is the Swedish cope style that is scribed the length of the log and insulated so chinking isn’t required. Love the videos!
