I did go thru the announcement video and did not see any catching on the one I saw which is the one I remember seeing when it was first announced. I did see that Craftopia did have a catching mechanic (however not before the video was recorded) and Pocket might have a defense using that game. This will be interesting indeed on how things play out and I cant wait to see how this will all play out especially with the things announced just this past week (will be in an upcoming video) I will say that this video here by Pokesuutamie ruclips.net/video/wG-3vfJSyx8/видео.html offers amazing insight on how the Japanese people feel and how the courts may decide on how to settle things out.

This is fair. But charizard isn't the only one that has gotten multiple forms. Slow poke for example. A branched evo, a mega, a regional with a branched evo. Then there is also Meowth with 3 regional and evos.

Gen 3 was a good gen. it just sucked that anyone who played gens 1 and 2 could not ring their mons along.

Monster rancher was no where near as annoying as digi. I have a really good run on Rancher and I really did enjoy the game.

@PokemonPondcast yeah, I may have teared up a bit remembering all the good memories. Going to see the first movie and seeing Donohan and Metwo. Seeing others dressed up as trainers (mainly ash) battling on Gameboys and trading cards. To experience that words can't express.

ironically, my first thought on a thumbnail was a 2nd screen. there are so many great games that utilize 2 screens that cant be ported over comfortably. Honestly I would not be surprised if Nintendo dropped a new 2nd system that would by the successor to the true handheld dual screen systems down the road to bank on both classic games that really need those 2 screen, but also to capitalize on nostalgia.

Agreed, there are little things that aren't hitting me (Draco) right. For Example, there are street lights in the scene with water, that are way more modern looking.

this is a valid point. i am just wondering if it can be sustainable this way. They had some advantaged in the late 90's and early 00's they had magazines to slowly tease and release info on a slow scale, but in this age of instant gratification, is this silence sustainable?

I mean it wouldn't happen over night. It would need to be a consistent drop of poor quality games and mismanagement of marketing. Take Digimon as an example. A great franchise and had a strong start in the beginning, much like Pokémon. But several bad games, bad marketing and a terrible money pit of an MMORPG (still exist surprisingly) have damaged the franchise and I don't think it ever recovered the level of popularity that it once held.

The issue isn't programs, it is time and skill set. We lack someone with the proper skillset to design good thumbnails, and frankly don't have any extra time to attempt something I (Draco) would be satisfied with. for context, video takes most of my weekly free time to edit, add visuals, and render.

It isn't about the release wait, it is about the lack of any info. I am ok waiting a year or 2 in fact. I waited YEARS for Starfield to which i had the same complaints as i do with Elder Scrolls. I used to get my info from monthly magazines if I was lucky and even then it was just a little tease on info. That is the complaint. There is nothing. No tease, not out of context images. Not even a pencil sketch of a map to keep hype and interest going.

you are right, they don't have to, and this isn't the first time they have used this "no news" strategy. Thing is, people aren't "going crazy" over having to wait, but a little bit of a drip feed would be nice. Just something small to give us something to talk about while we wait for a proper trailer.

You aren't wrong about some more vocal people in the community. I (Draco) come from a time where if a game was going to take a year , we would still get some updates on a monthly basis (sometimes once every 2 months) . These little teases kept the intrigue going while the game was being developed. It feels like ever since TPCI stopped using Coro Coro as a main outlet, they have been out of step on how to drop news.

@@PokemonPondcast it could be like how last year and this year were for the mario rpg fans: smrpg in november '23, ttyd in may '24, and now a mario and luigi rpg in november '24? maybe they'll bombard you guys with mon games again. bdsp came out november '21, legends arceus was january '22, and sv came out november '22 afterwards. and after the conclusion of dlc back in '23 at the end that year, i think TPC is cooking something.

We have 2 and 3 stage pokemon who got a mega form so I am just looking to understand your point of view You make a good argument about the base stat difference however I don't see the issue with needing an item for a mega evolution given that ability change happens with more than a few of them giving you a little more flexibility. The Paradox mons feel like they have to be pigeon holed into a vert specific team.

i think they are referring to the use of the terminology. that a paradox is more like something that should not or cannot exists vs something out of time. for example, you build a time machine. i use that time machine to go back and stop you from ever building it. then how is it there for me to use, when you never built it. and if it isnt built, how am i back in time to stop you form building it? gen 9 is more about quantum physics then it is about time travel. and people confuse time travel with branching timelines. Cayla's Capsule has some great vids on the topic i HIGHLY recommend.

@@Gay4545 The Alternate Professor Sada/Turo outright say the machine they are working on is specifically to capture Pokemon from other timelines. So it isn't a past or future Donphan for example. It is two alternative Donphans... or more aptly for the generation... more covergent evolution Pokemon.

@@PokemonPondcast Eh, it definitely isn't about branching timelines but parallel ones... though I'm not sure parallel is the correct word since they are seemingly a bit off on a universal timescale. It is correct though that by the lore of the game these Pokemon should not be there. They should be in their own timeline as opposed to the aforementioned ultrabeast who are suppose to be in this timeline, but not on the Pokemon World that we have come to know (Interesting they they are kind of the reverse of each other). Though for the example given it isn't what has occurred here which is my entire issue of them being seen as actual paradoxes as opposed to say anomalies. I mean all the issue they had with them remains the same. Like it isn't really something that could be expanded on easily... as seemingly it requires a specific Pokemons power and that power alone wasn't enough to bridge fully bridge the gap. It required the expertise of Sada/Turo to build a machine to focus that power to do it... and it simply wouldn't make sense for those machines to start popping up all over the place.

i am not sure we are talking about different things when it comes to time lines. it really comes down to where you land when it comes to quantum physics. Branching timelines just means that the origin point is the same, but the outcome was different. Flip a coin, if it cam up heads, another univers breacks off where it landed as tails, a 3rd would have been heads, but you dropped the coin, a 4th would be the same as 3rd, but with tails. the same could be said for the start of something, in this case, the universe. Sada/Turo could have tapped into a branched timeline that the universe started 100's of years before/after the game's timeline thus appearing to be time travel but in reality you just timeline hopped. Still i find this a great conversation and i am enjoying you insight from your point of view. thank you for taking the time to express it!

These are pretty good idea. We never though that maybe different mech styles would be good. I do feel that Magearna fits that steam punk authentic, but I would not mind seeing more.

Honestly, I think the same argument could be made for past paradoxes tbh They're all just primal and nothing else. Sandy shocks, walking wake and ranging bolts is the only paradox that really strays away from the convention. I do still get what u mean tho.
