    Lol a creepy dude filming people minding their own business as he grumbles that a city shouldn't let people let people camp is sad. You're in an industrial area, why do you care that it's unsightly to see people living. When they kicked out you get to see the pristine backdrop of loading docks and parking lots? Grow up.

    I had the same issue - bought the $18 Chinese actuator and it caused the system to completely shut down. Replaced it with the $140 Dorman and fixed the issue. Pay for the quality parts. It hurts the wallet but far better than having to do the job twice due to cheap Chinese garbage.

    For sale: 2004 Chevy Silverado… ALL NEW ACTUATORS and CLIMATE CONTROL UNIT!! 😂 Jokes aside, these 2004, 2005, and 2006 year Chevy and GMC Yukon’s, Denali’s with the 6.0L AWD are great except for the electrical, everything electrical in my 2005 GMC Yukon Denali has something going on and I have the same problem as you and the same digital crap climate controller and there’s one more part of that system that needs mentioning, the blower control module that is under the glove box. It seems in your case you only needed a new climate control and nothing else, and I would also recommend disconnecting the battery and disconnecting and reconnecting your electrical connections before swapping out the unit, and it can also be that blower control module. The mode actuator is usually the one to fail and it’s the one under the steering wheel that you disconnect a piece of ductwork to access it. Great video though for the overall view of 3 actuators! However, I don’t recommend the sawsall part, to me it looks like you disconnect the 3 places you called out and then flip it so the vents face up to get to the dash actuator but that one is probably fine and it’s the dang expensive crap you need. I’m only looking into this because I want to get rid of everything and put it on manual levers, I’m done with all this junk. We had it right the first time before all this stuff, and everything had metal levers and they never failed.

    Also, just to add my 2 cents worth, those Dorman "new" HVAC control units are pure junk. I went through 3 of them and all failed to fully function. The last one was so bad my mechanic could not establish communication with his Snap-On scanner and the recirc function didnt work. I ordered a refurbished one from a guy that sells them on ebay. He told me that the Dormans dont even have the same control board internally. They make their own electronics totally different from AC Delco OEM. In getting a rebuilt one I'm assured its AC Delco, OEM, fully tested, all solders re done where needed and new backlighting. If this rebuilt HVAC controller doesnt solve my issue, the next step is to change out the air duct temperatuire sensor, or sensors, depending on how many their acxtually are in the system.

  • @AmatuerOasis
    @AmatuerOasis Год назад

    @budgetoverlanding1062 About that air duct sensor, you show on that twists into the passenger duct. Cant see from the angle of your video, but is there another one that goes into the driver side duct? I went to my local Chey dealer today and got a printout of the HVAC system and it shows 2 of those sensors, driver and passenger side. But the tech at the parts counter insists the lookup on my VIN shows theres only one for the entire vehichle. Considering the driver and passener ducts are sperate plumbing, its makes no sense for there to be only one and if theres only one it should be oin the driver side. Can you clarify what you saw on the driver side duct?

    Yeah... BAD JOB! DON'T install swing-out braces to a camper in this manner, they are NOT designed to take the load at 90-degrees pivot. They are supposed to be at 180-degrees. If used in this manner they can rip apart and land your camper on the ground. Why can't people read the directions! Oh, and a three thousand pound camper has about 80% of the load on the front two jacks, you don't divide it by four. Multiple the full weight by 0.4 to determine the weight on each FRONT jack. So you have about 1200 lbs on EACH front jack. Yeah, that's significant! This is why you shouldn't be working on these things if you don't know what you are doing. This thing is a train wreck waiting to happen.

    • @SquatchNomad

  • @stephensommer7779
    @stephensommer7779 Год назад

    Really appreciate all the teardown you did and walking us through. It makes one less afraid of tackling these actuators. One thing I think you could point out is that it would be important to get an actuator with the metal shaft instead of a plastic one that I noticed may have been OEM on the truck but the plastic ones don't last, from what I've learned. I don't see the need for the critical comment regarding cutting your duct work. After all it's duct work not a crank bearing or a valve cover gasket of that sort. To remove some anxiety, why not just use some spot glue at various places. Easy to join the duct work and I't'll give you reinsurance if you doubt the tape longevity. Great to see the exposure of this dash, I wouldn't have done it myself and it was good to hear how many labor hours are tied into it. Just to take it apart to the tune of about $1,000. Now I know I won't be taking it into the shop!!

    So, we are still putting a double standard on women. Women aren't behaving like sluts but enjoying sex as men have enjoyed for eons, why aren't men being called sluts for having sex with multiple partners. It is dangerous behavior, syphilis, HIV, and AIDS, ect...are still out there and/or getting pregnant. Women need, to not give into men's wanting to have sex right away, and both men and women need to value relationships, and relearn how to date. If I were to believe what I have heard on some of these posts that men put out on RUclips, they see it as one date, a woman should have sex with them...and even the 3rd date. The 3rd date used to be okay for the first kiss, not having intercourse. When he says as the women act worst the men act worst. In the past women were the ones to put the brakes on and men would either respect her request, or call her a tease or worst, date raped her. There was a day that society required men and women be married to have sex. If a baby not born within a marriage, society shamed the woman and child by calling it "having a baby out of wedlock"( there is even a song about it by Dianna Ross and the Supremes called "Love Child") shaming the woman by labeling her a slut, and calling the baby a bastard child, especially when both mother and child were abandoned by the young man who got her pregnant, in recent decades a man was also shamed by labeling him as a dead beat dad especially if he didn't pay child support. Where does this attitude come from of just having sex with random people...goes back to the 1960s, 1970s the sexual revolution, contraceptives, like the pill came out and for the first time young women could enjoy sex and feel sexually free like men. In the 1970s there were Swingers, and free sex, people who took part had a high chance of getting a disease, what would be later be discovered in the 1980s as HIV and AIDS. It was frightening because no one knew how it was spread, people dying at a rapid rate and finally when medical scientist understood, it was spread by one person to another sexually with unprotected sex and also through blood transfusions, people start curbing their behavior sexually and being more cautious. Maybe men need to not go after women and pressure her to have sex. Society needs to focus on relationships instead of having sex with multiple partners they just met. There are young people who do have respect for themselves and the person who they are interested in, they don't have sex right away, but that is because of they way their parents raised them, and the people they surround themselves with, people who value themselves and understand sex has consequences.

    Beautiful women are desirable in all hemisphere’s. Additionally, men who complain about being rejected by American women are losers. If you are meeting hoes, it is because you are of low moral character. Birds of a feather flock together, and in your case it is with people of low morals.
