While it might be interesting to know, it's not critical to the story, plot, or world-building-unless it's directly related to Dust. The same could be said about their weapons. Regarding the LGBTQ+ representation in the series, I don't mind the writers stating that a particular ship is LGBTQ+. My concern arises when it seems to be the only focus. Rather than discussing how this relationship affects Blake, Yang, and other characters, the emphasis often appears to be on their LGBTQ+ status. While that's fine, I believe the main attraction of a relationship should be its impact on character development and the story. For example, I love Revy and Rock's relationship in *Black Lagoon*, but I've never thought, "The thing I love most about their relationship is their gender." I think it's more important to focus on the writing and the story rather than the characters' sexuality or gender (6:00). You're also right about the portrayal of the Bumbleby ship. The writers tend to use the support of a vocal minority to bolster the ship's popularity, while often dismissing those who criticize it. This dynamic leads to the silencing of dissenting voices, which, in turn, creates an echo chamber where only positive feedback is heard. I hear the claim that Miles and Kerry aren’t trusted sources, and I understand why, but I also like to consider both sides and try to remain somewhat neutral. Monty wrote and had many ideas for the series; however, Miles and Kerry were in charge of writing and acting on those ideas, as stated by Monty multiple times. This means Monty would probably give a brief directive, for example, “Neopolitan will marry Soul Arts at the end of RWBY because he saves her from ascension,” and then Miles and Kerry would be left to interpret that however they wished. From that standpoint, I believe it’s fair to say that Miles and Kerry were the writers of the series and were able to write what Monty wanted. However, I can also understand the statement that they didn’t know what he wanted after his passing, due to him not being able to direct and explain why he wanted certain scenes to be added, spaced out, etc. In reality, it’s hard to say what he truly wanted and how trustworthy these sources are. But to avoid being overly negative or overly positive, it’s better to trust Monty-and when it comes to trusting Monty, you have to trust his friends. After all, he told people to trust them before and said on multiple occasions that RWBY wouldn’t have been what it was without them, and that was during the “Golden Age of RWBY,” so to speak. I’m not making this statement to say you’re wrong; I’m just saying that if you look at it from an overwhelmingly closed perspective, you’re going to get something negative. (8:21) Looking at Volumes 1-3, it seems fair to assume that most members of Team RWBY are portrayed as straight. Ruby's innocence leaves her sexuality more ambiguous, but Weiss showed interest in Neptune, Blake in Sun, and Yang had a moment of attraction to shirtless men. However, it's also important not to dismiss everything after Volume 3 just because of dissatisfaction with the series' direction. The issue isn't necessarily their sexuality but how the writing and story have handled these relationships (11:08). If you're looking for a better example to support your point, it might be more accurate to say that Bumbleby was planned from Volume 5 or 6, rather than 4. Yang and Blake's relationship had significant tension in Volumes 4 and 5, and it wasn't until later that they began to reconcile, flirt, and eventually start dating (16:15). I know writers make mistakes, and writers are human. I also understand that writers can lie to cover up mistakes. However, this segment is added to play Devil’s Advocate. If Bumbleby was planned from the start, then it makes things worse, but if Bumbleby wasn’t planned from the start, it still makes it bad but far less so than if it had been planned from the start. I do not wish to call anyone a liar, and I do not wish to say with 100% certainty that Monty didn’t want this because no one truly knows. The two closest people who would know what Monty wanted would be his wife and his right-hand man Shane. Beyond that, the rest is up to his writing team. Since it’s impossible to say with full accuracy, I play Devil’s Advocate and express how I feel about it from both sides. But I also understand how you feel from a certain angle. I share a lot of my ideas with my friends, and let’s just say one of my friends was my co-writer. If I were to die and my friend were to take over in my place, even if he knew exactly what I wanted, there’s a good chance I could’ve added details, changed scripts, created a better scenario, had better execution, etc. So, I also understand that it would be hard to say the writers got it 100% right. But I think it’s also unfair to say they got it 100% wrong. I think the most positive outlook would be to just hope they got a good story rather than a “Monty” story. (21:55) Finally, I find it disrespectful to suggest that Monty's death was due to his wife or co-workers. Monty died from an allergic reaction during a routine procedure-a rare but tragic occurrence. There's no evidence of foul play, and it's unfair to speculate otherwise. Conspiracy theories like the one suggesting RoosterTeeth wanted to "take him out" are unfounded and disrespectful to Monty's memory. Monty was beloved by everyone at RoosterTeeth, and there's no credible motive for such an act. Instead, it's more likely that Monty's health challenges over the years, combined with this unfortunate reaction, contributed to his passing. While this is only a theory, it is more grounded and respectful than the alternatives (23:50).

And even if they did they shown that there terrible writers for RWBY, which just means they should be replaced to someone more competent, Monty may have not be the best writer but we can tell the charm and passion he had on v1 and 2, when they we're y'know? Atleast he's consistent on that and actually understood them, idk how Miles and Kerry fumbled the bag on 2 or 3 volumes of characterization and still write them like there not even the same characters, like Ruby was a weapon nerd, where did that go? She just turned into a generic mc, like since when did we see a mc who really likes weapons as much as her, we could've build on that character and do more, but nope they forgot about it or changed it. Completely erasing Monty's work.

My opinion since i a kid has always been. They are playing a character because irl they aren't attractive enough to fulfill their true desires in life. And from what I've seen in college, it aint too far off for both men and women. 😂 I just see being a vtuber as an Instant L in any irl conversation with creators that actually show their face, and dont play characters for simps.
