When I was in the Navy back in 1989, we went to Karachi and the exact same stomach issue happened to almost everyone who ate the local food... it turns out that in Pakatan they don't aren't use toilet paper but just their finger. Therefore the people prepping and cooking the food aren't the most sanitary... my stomach issues lasted 3-4 days!

    The audio is killing me. They’ve overlaid piston engine sounds on a turbo prop Cheyenne, and turboprop sounds on a piston Navajo. The flying is comical. Either these guys are the worst pilots on the planet, or they’re playing dumb for the camera, either way it’s hard to watch…

    What would you have done if your boss couldn't get you back for something you're doing one way or another? I'd have told him that I'll be back to help finish the sortie after the 911 Anniversary. As if that would fly [yes, pun intended]

    For those pilots watching, Kerry explains in his book the part with him and Stu running low on fuel was all dramatized. They manually cut fuel to make the engines quit because the flight was deemed to boring to make the episode as it was. its awesome to read the book and then see the show

    Okay so the flight to Poland the two pilots gave up because it sounded like Cory wasn't going to do any work on a customer's plane and change the motor at all. But now Cory is in Rhode Island with the new engine in the plane and took a survival safety course that I'm sure was not cheap, so why, when the other pilots called to say they needed work done, were they told there was to be no work done on a customer's plane?

    This TV show is funny. I must admit that ferry pilots have always made me nervous when I ran large survey fleets, we seemed to have lots of engine handling problems. But these guys are often the least professional pilots I have ever seen. The whole concept of yea hahhhh cowboy pilots scares the heck out of me. Giggling because the landed, running into fuel emergency situations, flying types the seem to not be rated on, getting fatigued and pushing on everything every pilot is told not to ever do, beyond scary.

    Really wish they did a better job mixing the audio in this series. EIther the drama music is too loud or the narrator is way too low. When both are playing, can't hear the narrator most of the time. Overall entertaining though.

    Somethings wrong with the dubbing. The voices start a good 1:45 before the video starts. Not sure what's going on there?!?!

  • @QUIX4U
    @QUIX4U 2 года назад

    Bugguh - at 43:03 - you eventually screwed up totally - I lost all vocals as that ruddy (excessively) LOUD music wiped it out. After millions of minutes, from episode 1 - to this ck/sucker overloud music - wiping out the low volume vocals? I'm outa here. Useless to have a documentary - if the vocals are wiped out with excessively LOUD backing music.

  • @QUIX4U
    @QUIX4U 2 года назад

    I've tried upping the volume control to have my partner complain that she cannot hear her own PC above my headphones Plus - I've tried dropping it so low - as to be almost OFF - and cannot FIND any setting - that allows me to clearly hear - what those pilots were saying. Even when they are OUT of the plane - on the ground - at airports ? The backing music crap was way too LOUD. Therefore at 26:08 I am in PAUSE MODE - with (aggravated) tinnitus ringing church bells in my ears. Even when dealing with horrendously loud music - I don't get the tinnitus (ringing) this bad. So - I disliked THIS ONE, because - FOR REAL - "does the background music have to be" SSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS-OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO (pharkin) LLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL_OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO_UUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU_DDDDDDDDD ? I almost cannot "hear" what the cockpit conversations are - ? In other words - why have AUDIO "ON" at all for - if it's blown away - by useless backing music?

    Redone and redone, and redone. 6yrs ago, 2yrs ago, and currently running??….It’s faked - pure TV drama. All those faults but not even a pan pan? All those countries were war-zones, jet-cam follows all trips everywhere but has no issues with immigration or minimum 2 aircraft thousands of km apart? Bullshit on coke. PIC flying 4 days after Reno rally kills his ‘friend’ in the Silver Ghost, which he also flew at? One PIC has Delhi Belly and is visiting lav every 15 mins but then flies for hours on lav-less crate? Bollocks. White Cliffs of Dover where 7 Sisters are but not spotted on NAV? One most exp ‘Capt’ to the boss not hand flown for over ten years? Piss off. Whole thing is set up. Repeat intermittent faults. Leaks, analogue gauges, heating, poor trim, dodgy LED’s/connections……. Not one engine fault? One critical fuel with no alternate, another with no alternate filed - total horseshit. Where are they all now? Don’t exist??

    Try hand flying for that many hours and then tell me you don’t need an autopilot 😴🤦🏽‍♀️ there’s a reason why IFR aircraft engaged in air transport or ambulance operations require a serviceable autopilot. Because we’re humans not robots. Of course Randy can hand-fly well, any decent pilot hand flies his instrument approaches and subsequent landing or circle to land. That we let an autopilot hold straight and level up in the flight levels doesn’t make us lazy, nor should his ability to do some level turns and a stall recovery be thought of as impressive. He has 10,000 + hours, I’m not impressed that he can do a stall recovery, I’d bloody expect that he could. This show is a joke! Wow watching this back 10 years later now that I’m an actual pilot and not just an avgeek teenager is really quite shocking 🥸

    The drama of the narrator and the music is unbearable 😂😂 but it kind of has to be there for the average Joe who doesn’t know a thing about aeroplanes. Of course as a pilot I’m like 🙄😴 at half the shit this narrator says. “Ferry pilots call it the point of no reUrnNn 😵‍💫”. Mate, all pilots call it the point of no return. We learn to calculate it during our training 😂
