YES. These work well.
Just picked a few of these up since they were on sale and since I was looking into getting trolling. I would like to ask how you fish these? I have a pack of the northland super slow death rigs. Which is the butterfly blade and the slow death hook. Do you just let it sink down and troll super slowly or should I add weight or something else to the rig. Thanks!
The loons returned to oneida lake this year...it was also the year John inspired me to join the NWT- the Lord works in such mysterious ways, but he works with beautiful intent. Looking forward to meeting you someday
Product pusher smh
Thanks
Can u tell me the one u used plastic lure name?i gonna order
The plastic on the rod is a Northland Tackle Impulse "core" swimbait.
Awesome episode!! 🔥🎣🎣
Thanks Chip!🎣👍
I only fish rods with Portuguese cork #standards
Thanks for the tips😀
Just get to your guest please
Didn't know John was a berta boy for a time. Now I like him even more, even though he was a Calgarian.
What a great interview! Always loved the pro- am format! Thanks Korey and Chip!
Chip, Thank you for recording this interview. How could it have less than 400 views? This is the kind of show I have been looking for.
Thanks Chris
Ryan Hall has run sub 2:05, in 2011.
Thank you... Yes, we missed that...my fault too- I knew and didn't remember or research it while talking. Appreciate your input.
@@ChipLeersWildside At least Dicks marathon was legit and not "enhanced'. Dick has long been a hero and model of mine. I have read his book "Staying The Course" several times. Each time I watch or read the account of the 82 Duel in The Sun, I somehow find myself cheering with the hope that he might finally squeak by Alberto at the finish. Love Beardsley! Admire his work ethic and share his book with many in AA and NA. I am a life long runner and like Dick am trying to "Stay The Course".
Love that hat! I love my LX-5, there have been times I've been able to see fish that my buddy can't see on his Vexilar FL-18....because I can switch to NBT and SFL . I love both brands, but I love my Marcum a little more. Where did you get that hat??? Reminds me of one my Great Grandfather wore when I was a kid back in the 70's, lol.
THANKS !! The hat is someting I've been wearing forever.... it's from Bemidji Woolin Mills - Bemidji, MN
Awesome to hear the entire backstory and learning about how much goes into tournaments like this!
And thus the reason why you see consistant success from the best ! Thanks for the listen
This is not a great instructional. More like a commercial.
Well, he's even wearing their clothes... hes bought and paid for...
Ryan Hall is the fastest US born marathoner. Surprised Dick didn't know that.
Excellent podcast by both of you! Thank you.
I fished with Ross during flw tournament and I learned a lot. A true professional. Lot of the things that was talked about in this pod was great to hear. I agree having ears open and mouth shut and keep an open mind. Kids now days have it much easier with info at there finger tips. Years ago if you wanted knowledge of fishing it was tournaments, in-fisherman, walleye In-sider and guides. Good job chip and Ross on this pod. Lot of things mentioned I did or wanted to do for years. Young anglers now have great opportunity in college fishing and to be noticed. If I had this back in 1993 I would of jumped in and ran with it. Anything worth doing you have to put your time in on the water and never stop learning.
Thank you for your input. Obvously your an angler of passion!! Embrace the fun fact of fishing that were never done learning!
Capt Ross, is the man!
He's a professional who is damn good at what he does. Thanks for listening.
Thanks for the podcast very informative
Thank you
Your voice is why I don't watch the trail on RUclips. So thanks alot. Something I would enjoy
And that is why there is a closed-caption option availalbe for you.

I'm with the Nebraska Walleye Association. nebraskawalleye.com/fishing-is-fun-2/ We are a non profit who promote fishing in Nebraska. We have an updated web page and I am putting together instructional video to help people learn how to fish for walleye. I would like to use your video as part of that presentation.
Finally tournament talk pod. Yes years ago it was done on web sites to minor degree but, having more talk and right talk please keep it up chip. Good job. I did keeping tournament stats when I was co angler back in late 90s and early 2000s. Info like tournament winning spots top 5 presentations baits, color baits, speed, ECT. Pod casts are awesome for more info being said and insider views just like walleye insider back in the day. Thank you keep it going.
Thank you Jeffrey appreciate the positivity. I certainly hope to dive in more during 2021 open water tournament season as there is do much to learn- especially with data like JB keeps. Great stuff!
It would be great if walleye tournaments brought in the money bass tournaments do.
Ray, Yes that would be great, but would anyone fish different, probably not. Walleye is a deicated and passionate niche of the angling community -- it's fun to share the excitement regardless
@@ChipLeersWildside no doubt it's a niche. I think your awesome for the sport. I know it takes a good team.
Great breakdown of the events. The only thing good about covid this year, was it allowed me to fish the entire tour as a co-angler, and now I’m hooked.
David, your enthusiasm for the sport is obvious. Great to meet you.
Awesome interview. Any chance the links for wind currents on the great lakes can be posted. Thanks

Love the comment on "what can we do better". Most watch these shows to learn and get better at fishing. Fishing as a Co angler that last few years I've learned a lot but watch countless videos to learn more as well.
Thanks Len, we never stop learning, thats the fun part.
Learning every day Thanks guys and congrats Jason!
Outstanding once again Chip! Congrats Jason and thanks for the insight!
Great interview Jason and Chip
Great interview, Chip! Thanks, Jason, for the info! Great job, and congratulations on your win, again...:)
Thanks Jules, your opinion is appreciated.
Awesome knowledge to remember
That is so funny what he said about Chase's school of fish and the blow day
Met Joe last year on the river. CLASS ACT! Great interview Men!
Thanks joe
Great show Chip!! Prayers to Dan and his family!!
It has def been a year of big fish on Lake Erie. And it’s been a little tougher bite because of the food there. But if a person wanted to run to the Canadian line there is a great bite.
Good information Lawrence....of course Canadian waters are off-limits for this event, but it will be interesting to see where and how these guys dicect the system..... Personal note, wow- there is a ton of fish in the system.
They need to have the camera guys in both of their boats on day 1!!
Good luck to all of the anglers! Be safe out there.
Great insight guys!
Great interview Chip & Joe!
awesome interview!
Really enjoy your podcasts. This episode is one of my favorites. Thanks for “shining the light” on this important topic. We can all do better
Great interview
Joe we talked about this stuff many times. You know I love you as a brother. For everyone else that watches this. None of this is fabricated or made up, it is true as most of the things I have witnessed first hand. Love is the answer and to really know this man is to really know love. Thank you Chip and Joe loved this. I also was upset when someone called Bret Tyrone and actually made my mind up that tournament fishing was not for me anymore. I have met most of Joe relatives and I went in unafraid as I was in a crowded room with all black people. After they got to know me they loved me for not being afraid. Thank you Joe for letting me be a part of your life!
I love Joe Carter. He cooks some great fish.
can i use this rod for walleye
