to even TURN OVER and we all know that TURTLES HATE BEING UPSIDE DOWN!! Now we also have heard that Southern folks like to EAT these turtles, which we don't understand at all!!! If and when we come south to catch any - if we decide to bring any home, we set up a habitat and keep them the way they live in the wild. They are NOT TOYS!!! I think this might have been a little earlier than 1957-58. I definitely would have been there (at the church for Loyalty Sunday) then, and would have been about the same age as those little boys running around. However, I didn't recognize any of them.
