here's the fix: instead of pressing "Finish and lunch" you close the window, so you will install the launcher but not open it yet. Then, you keep going until you fix the font and now u can open the launcher.

XXMI should be updated automatically as soon as it is started

In XXMI on the Star Rail page you have to open the settings and click on Browse. There you have to change the directory to: C:\Program Files\Star Rail\Games

Download newest release (10.0 or newer). In Lutris change the runner for the XXMI Launcher shortcut and your Game shortcut to the newly downloaded Tkg release.

I'm ok now it seems I needed to manually download D3D extras and put it on the right folder

I was able to find and put the command but xxmi application still doesn’t run 🥲

Glad to hear that this solution worked! As for HI3, I don’t have any guides for it ready at the moment. However, some people on our Discord have reported success in getting it to work. @MrLGamer thank you that actually improved it a good decent amount. Although it's still wierd since with 3dmigoto I would get more stable frames. However with XXMI with all mods off I still get less frames. What could be the reason? Could it be one of the fixes in XXMI? Atleast it's still just as playable as long as I remove the fps counter lol

XXMI uses a newer version of GIMI with more features, which might have a larger impact on performance then the original one. Other then that I'm not really sure what could be causing this. You could dig through GIMI settings within XXMI and disable some features that are not needed for playing like shader hunting mode.

As you have already suspected, the method you've used to install Genshin will not work with mods. I saw in the lutris tutorial I think I have to set it as default path so will I not be able to have it saved in my games folder? I followed a different tutorial for how to download it on steam deck so I could easily know where everything is so I could remove it for storage if need be

Are you by any chance using dolphin? If yes, that's normal. It's a bug that shouldn't be present on console

It is not necessary to use the exe file. You can use the py file, which is usually included in the source.zip file alongside the exe. If you need assistance with running it, feel free to reach out on Discord for help.

No, Honkai Impact 3rd is unfortunately not supported by the XXMI Launcher. If it were supported, the process would be similar to Honkai Star Rail. However, some people have managed to get the modding tools working in our Discord. But the process is a bit more complicated. If you want to experiment a bit, you can try to join our Discord and ask around. Maybe some users will be able to help you.

Always select drive C, both inside HoYoPlay and when in XXMI. This is a virtual drive created by Wine, simulating the Windows drive. You can disregard all other drives. At 3:40 , I set the initial storage location to the SD card path. As a result, the virtual C drive was created on the SD card. If I hadn’t made this change, the virtual C drive would have been created on the internal storage of the Steam Deck.

Hey! Did you install Wine-Staging 10.0 as described in the video? If so, you could try installing Wine-Staging-Tkg 10.0 from ProtonPlus instead. It's more optimized for games, similar to Proton, and can potentially improve your performance. In Lutris, make sure to select this newly downloaded Wine version for each game shortcut in its settings. Also, double-check the game's resolution settings. Sometimes, it defaults to a very high resolution without reason. I tested all the games briefly on my Steam Deck, and they ran fine, so I'm a bit surprised it's not working well on your setup.

(please take these additional tips with caution im no expert) - additionally you do not have to run the steam shortcut with any steam comparability tool - "hoyo launcher says the game is ready to launch while the lutris pop up is still running orange code" you can click the short button. (it's okay if the game doesn't show on the lutris menu) navigate to add locally installed game, input the name, runner (wine) release year then save. if lutris says it can't find the executable navigate to /home/deck/Games/genshin-impact/drive_c/Program Files/HoYoPlay/games/Genshin Impact game/and select GenshinImpact.exe (this will be changed later to the launch.bat provided) - "hoyolauncher says it wont work with my location" (sorry forgot the exact error) try again, it should fix it - i followed the instructions from the video to install genshin so i *dont* know how to make 3dmigoto work with other methods (ex: NSL Heroic or downloading straight from the genshin website)

XXMI works perfectly for me, I just changed the executable for ZZZ in Lutris to the XXMI Launcher

@HazeX2 huh. I'll have to try it again. Follow this video and then change the exe to the XXMI. When I tried the script just wouldn't find the Zenless exe.

@@HazeX2 still struggling. lutris pointed at the original 3DMigoto Loader.exe loads up and into game fine. but I cant get xxmi at all. firstly i cant install xxmi via the "msi" file they provide. so i grab the zip version and its just a resources and themes folder. drop those randomly in the program files folder, configure lutris to launch the XXMI Launcher.exe file from inside the Bin folder and hit run. but nothing happens. i am completely lost.

??? we're not disabling anything in this video. Zenless Zone Zero works without any modifications under Linux.

​@@MrLGamerSorry for any confusion, I likely just don't get Lutris well. @7:18 you disable two Anti-cheat toggles.

​@@BrianMills198686 Oh, that thing - don't worry that's just for compatibility with other games. Some games use either Easy Anti-Cheat or BattlEye Anti-Cheat and these toggles make those specific games work. Zenless Zone Zero doesn't use any of these two Anti-Cheats, so it's not required to have those toggles turned on. I had hoyoverse games in the past crash because these toggles were enabled, so i'm just advising everyone to turn them off if they are not needed just like in this case

@@MrLGamer appreciate the reply. I'll press on with the mods! The deck is my first "gaming PC" so I don't know very much about PC game world, double that for Linux. Haha

There have been no reports of anyone being banned for using ZZMI . It is based on 3dmigoto and only interacts with your graphics card (i.e. only with what you see on the screen). It does not modify any game files and after it's closed the game returns 100% to how it was originally. While the ban risk is pretty much close to zero - I cannot guarantee that no one will be banned in the future.
