We really appreciate this! I'm working on a graphic novel thats drawn with traditional lineart and finding info on the process is hard.
I am here to help. A lot of stuff is trial and error. Don’t be afraid to fail. My goal is to simplify what is complex. Thanks for watching and best of luck on your graphic novel. Feel free to ask any questions and I can answer in a video

Yo!!! Thank You!!!!
Happy to see people like you with the dedication to do actual drawings on actual board instead of this digital where you can't even buy the original art from the artist.
Thank you! This is all I've been trying to figure out for DAYS.
Happy to help!

Thank you all for watching!!! If you are interested in my books you can purchase here!! deathclubcomics.com/collections/all
Expand your accessibility. Amazon can handle the printing and you can also a digital version as well.
I was thinking when I do my first TPB I can sell on Amazon. I haven’t seen anyone sell single issues on Amazon but maybe I could be the first. Digital is okay. I’ve tried to push it for anyone that wants to catch up but the more comfortable I am with my work I will definitely push it more. Maybe I can do digital on Amazon.
Art and creativity a blessing.
Sure is!!! Thank You🏆

Just some helpful tips (Yes, it's the old head again): 1. Your title on 1 and 2 should be the same size and in the same place for consistency. Issue 1 is small than issue 2 and issue 2's placement is too close to the top edge. I'd say stick to the size of the title in issue 1, but move it down the same distance as your name is from the bottom as your template. And the company name is too far to the left as well. What you're missing is uniformity. 2. Give your audience a blurb about the series and the direction it's going (just like the blurbs on the back of novels) to give readers a taste what to expect. 3. In terms of your art style, I would suggest using clip studio paint to help you with art to build consistency. Your biggest issue is perspective drawing. 4. Style-wise you can improve tremendously. You have something, but it needs a bit of fine tuning. What comes to mine is Jim Lee's Deathblow style. What I think you're missing it the grit and grime of your character. He looks too "Saturday Morning Cartoon" clean. 5. Lastly, as far as red goes, that's too generic. Try 8A0303 (138, 3, 3) or BB0A1E. Play around with it to get a more unique blood color. The one that you're using looks too much like FF0000 (255, 0, 0).
Thank you again for taking time to comment and watch my videos. Art wise I have so much to work on. Thank you for the clip studio suggestion but moving forward I’m leaning more to just drawing traditional on 11x17. I will check out Death Blow to get an idea of what you’re talking about. As far as coloring goes I have hired a colorist and I give him examples of what looks I want so I can still try to play around with different colors until we get things just right. Again thank you again for your input. I’m willing to learn and do what it takes to be this next generation creator.
@@madefamus You're on your way bro. I want to see you grow. I understand the grind. Just keep in mind, you're the writer and director and treat this like your own TV series/movie. 👍

Looks dope man
Thank you bro!! Trying my best
What are they about
Sigmas
Will you collab with Eric July?
Probably not. I don’t really see myself doing collabs with anyone given how tight my schedule is
That commenter wasn’t talking about having to drop “X” amount of books before you can start pushing action figures. They were talking about Blood Shadow needing a proper fanbase, which can be achieved by releasing more books because people will grow attached to the characters and the world you’re building. Right now Blood Shadow has only had two adventures in total, which is basically the stage where people who buy it might not even have decided whether or not they actually love the character. This means that there’s little to no reason for them to buy your action figure, let alone for $65. That’s nearly twice the amount of money Disney asks for a typical Marvel action figure! Also, you seem to believe people are buying your comics because you’re grinding and hustling, but it’s not about that; you’re not the main character. Blood Shadow is, and it’s about him growing a big fanbase that is attached to his character to the point where they will WANT you to drop an action figure. Your Kickstarter campaign not doing too well should tell you that not enough people have grown attached to your character yet, and you should release more books and gain more fans! Let me just end this on a positive note though: I am sure you can grow the fanbase you need if you just keep on dropping new comics and if you keep on improving! I’d recommend taking a look at your community with every book you release to see if the time has come to finally release your action figure. Good luck!
Thank you for taking the time to watch my video and commenting. Unfortunately I disagree with a lot of points. I want people to stop comparing me to mega corporations. So many naysayers said I couldn’t sell $12 comic books because Marvel and DC sells them for a lot cheaper. I’ve sold well over 4,000 copies my first year. At the end of the day I am independent and can do anything I want without anyone telling me because I fund everything on my own. There is no book I need to follow where I can only do things when reaching certain milestones. Due to a lot of fears and insecurities, people don’t take big steps. Everyone doesn’t need to read my comic book just to grab one of my collectible figures. That just sounds like gatekeeping lol. For example that is like saying I have to read the Boys or Invincible before watching the show. You also have to remember that people buy from people and with my story some people are buying into the fact that I am doing everything solo and that I am the artist and writer which is very rare in this industry. I hope I explained myself well and you can understand where I’m coming from.
@@madefamus I never said people can’t buy your action figure without reading your book. I’m saying a lot of people simply won’t, because your character has not gone through enough for people to grow attached to him. When you’re writing a story you need to treat your characters like they are real people with real emotions. In a way you need your audience to grow attached to them like they would to a friend in real life, because then buying Blood Shadow’s action figure will become a no-brainer for them. Again, you are not the main character in this. Maybe some people might indeed buy your books just to support an independent artist but at the end of the day your main audience will consist of people who love comic books and people who hopefully love Blood Shadow. So you should definitely release more books! Not because of “milestones”, but because people need to get to know Blood Shadow as a character, and once you gain a cult following your action figure will sell like it’s a batch of freshly baked cookies. Trust the process. Rome wasn’t built in a day. Also, to go back to the point of comparing you to mega corporations; I never said anything about selling your books for $12. I think $12 is an okay price (heck, the comic books I used to read as a kid actually cost more than that). I am specifically talking about asking $65 for an action figure on top of it not being a widely known figure (yet). I used the price tag as another example as to why your Kickstarter has not been fully pledged. I think you could ask $65 for your action figure eventually, just maybe not right now🤷♂️. To end things on a positive note once more: I’ll make sure to keep an eye out for more of your work and I really do hope you can make it. Maybe one day I’ll have a Blood Shadow action figure as part of my figurine collection as well😉.
Would yall pay $60 for the wolbussy and drive over an hour for the “popcorn bucket”?? 😮
1 hour drive is light work. 😤 got get 🫵🏾
Omg! you made incredible unboxing, ;))
Thank You!!!! 🏆🏆🏆
I think you're going about this the wrong way, because it's like you're trying to sell two things at once. Question is, which one takes priority? It's like you're splitting in two different directions. Your best plan of attack is to focus on making books and building your following off of that. When you get enough consistent sales down the line, then you should evaluate if a toy is an option. On top of that, you have to think about the world you're building in the book. I'm pretty sure it's not just one character. That would defeat the purpose of a toy period. Care Bears have multiple bears. Todd McFarlane had a library of Spawn-related characters and a world built around him before dropping his first series of toys. You should think of toys as a milestone of success, not a necessity of a newcomer. Now from one artist to another, your style of art is reminiscent of the late 80s. It's not going to hold over well in terms of attraction, because the angles and poses are generic and your style doesn't bleed unique. Look at Jae Lee, Greg Capulo, Bart Sears, Marc Sylvestri, Sam Keith, (yes, I'm an old head). The skills you put forth from panel selection for telling a story to every line should be like your own signature that says "Madefamus did that" just from looks. Study the 90s greats (when Image almost destroyed Marvel). Lastly, flat colors are out. It would be interesting to see a digitally painted comic. Overall, I would work on polishing your baby than worrying about merchandise.
I responded to your comment in a recent video 🏆
Bro I love the drive. I'm a published artist myself an i'm in the process of trying to create my own figurine as well. This motivates me man. I hope you get more subscribers and more people reading your book.
I am here to motivate!!!! Thank you so much!!!
I just got your videos on my feed today. I havent seen a lot of them but i see your passion and love for the artform. Im also from L.A. The fact that you're doing everything mostly by yoursefl is super dope. It's inspiring for myself to get more creative and actually start doing something. I love comics. I subbed and good luck to you my guy. Ill be purchasing your book when i get the chance.
Thank you for the sub!!!! Hey man my only goal is to inspire all creatives out there and show that anything is possible!!!!
The comic industry is failing. Then proceeds to explain nothing about WHY that statement was made. 😒
It is failing but I can go more in depth on the title next video. Sorry
I have had two successfu comic campaigns on kickstarter and indiegogo, looking at your campaign, I think you set your goal way to high for a character that no one knows about. If your campaign doesn't make the mark, do it again, but make your goal way smaller, I mean way smaller my friend.
Doing a video response to your comment. Thank you so much for the advice.
Doesn’t make sense to go lower though. $15k is the production cost…
@@madefamus I get it, but the goal is too high, especially since its your first campaign and unknown character. Kickstarter you either have to be famous or have a history of campaigns for numbers like that.
Way to go ...blaze
Thank You!!!!

Haha thanks but I have now upgraded
@@madefamus Ooh nice I’ll watch your recent videos👀
My suggestion is, let's talk about the comic and or toy figure. Leave out how much so far folks have contributed. That's for you to know, not us. We just hope we make it to the marck
Got it!! Thank You
Really like the design man. Got your kickstarter saved so once I’m in a better position i can pitch in. Looks dope
No worries!!!! Just a heads up. Whatever you pledge today will not be charged unless the project is funded!! August 16th is when you will be charged
Oh shoot Sam I remember you from your DeathClub Streetwear brand like 3 years ago 🔥
That’s so bad ass I’m so backing this!!much love brother ❤️
YOOOO THANK YOU!!!!!
Actually having ANY detachable part does make it action figure technology I believe
