Drove my 06 6mt 250 to upstate NY for a couple ski trips. If you know how to drive properly in the snow it ain’t no problem.

I started with a CTS cold air intake on my 2012 2.0 Avant, added an IE aluminum manifold, CTS intercooler, down pipe, cat back exhaust, CTS K04,Bilsteen coilovers, stasis front and rear sway bars (many years ago) this car rocks! Not as quick as my TTRS though.😂

All is250 RWD has only an open differential, which mean one wheels is only spinning from the back to make the whole car move . Get an is350 RWD instead cause it’s has an limited slip differential which mean both wheels in the back is spinning at the same time and it’s has more power , Pretty much you can’t do nothing much with a open differential while drifting because it’s will spin out on you cuz of one wheels is only spinning from the back. To upgraded to an LSD is very expensive. Some people just welded there differential on a open diff cuz it’s more cheaper
Though the is350 actually has an e-LSD which isnt exactly a real LSD .....
Is 350 doesn’t have real LSD gotta get the 4.1 or 4.3 ratio LSD from a BRZ/FRS that bolts directly to the rwd is 250s. 350s are a bit different. I’m putting a 4.1 lsd from a BRZ in my 06 rwd manual 250
It is actually not true, all is 250 from 2014 and on have LSD. Perhaps you mean the previous generation, but still I jumped in to correct you as I was confused what kind of diff it had before I buy mine.

Yes they are Rally Armor mud flaps that I got off of facebook marketplace. Had the same kind on my wrx as well, love the look of them!

It was actually already on the car when I got it. But I think you should be able to find it on ebay or amazon.

Where did you buy the shift knob?
I think I got it from a genuine Lexus parts website, the auto shift knob is easy to find.. but the manual one is a little more difficult.

Totally not a cult
I totally disagree with this video and actually stopped watching the moment you say that the Lexus or any RWD is bad in the snow. I am from Austria, an alpine country and come winter, everyone I know get old BMW or Mercedes as they better alternatives to FWD. I drove my RX7 up snowy mountain roads, I drive RWD since nearly 20 years now and never got stuck - I got stuck with FWD, despite snow tires. Old rally cars were RWD and the Lancia even did beat the Quattro Audi a few times. The tires and the tire pressure make a difference, also, coming to the Lexus, I own an IS250 MY2010. The diff has a snow mode and out here where I live we had snow last winter, just when I got the car and even with the summer tires I managed to get up the hill. Comes to snow tires, I love Michelin, and if I want 'cheap' alternative I go with Semperit. In snow you don't put pedal to the medal, actually in snow with an manual I seldom start in 1st gear, usually 2nd if not even 3rd if it's a torque monster like some high CC Diesels. Nowadays, quattro is 70 to 80% FWD with the haldex clutch delivering power to the rear only when the front wheels start to slip.

No drone, didn’t really notice much performance but it sounded nice and looked good 👌🏻 lol
It was louder than the stock A4 exhaust? I’m looking at doing this mod to my 2014 A4 I don’t want it to be loud just more for looks lol

I’m contemplating on connecting it at the front like you did or connecting it after the last resonator at the back to cut down on noise and just for looks

Hi, I got a lexus is220d and when I rev it a little bit higher (saw that thing only on snow) one wheel get lock ,is there an issues ?
How can you leave that balancer and changer in the weather without having problems? Do you keep it under a tarp?
It was kept under a tarp, but the garage is build now so it’s safe 👌🏻

Do you have the old shiftboot bracket? Like the frame that secures the shiftboot into place? If so, would you be wiling to sell? I've searched for months now and can't figure out where to buy them.
Anthony Rubbertoe I actually used that to fit the new shift boot in. Could probably make one yourself out of some metal, don’t think there’s to much to that piece.

Why would the carbon fiber version make it sound better? I thought the closed off carbon fiber lids would be a smidge quieter than this just due to being in more of a box?
@@cal63look i have the carbon fiber box one and it makes a deeper noise as well as the turbo noise as well.
Got my answer, so IS 250/350 AWD is the way to go.
Yeah unless you want a manual but those are pretty hard to come by..
