@Digi_Jack Oh looks like it's allocating a lot of vram which is fine then.

Don't worry the game is pretty optimised. My rx7800 xt stays at 15,4 GB and I don't see textures popping up at that value. Rtx 4070s however will have reduced textures. You can actually see what's going on when you load into a mission. It starts at 9 GB VRAM and then checks how much VRAM is left and improves the textures over the next 10s until VRAM is full. Starts with bigger textures and at around 15 GB it uses the smaller textures that can be loaded into the VRAM quickly. The 4090 just has soo much VRAM that it's not necessary to get rid of some textures. They just stay in. Btw 4k max settings with HDR is ~ 45 - 70 FPS depending on the scene on a 7800 XT. With AFMF you will end up at ~ 100-140 FPS, which is smooth in terms of frames and latency.

@cn21gaming57 the resolution improves step by step. It's easy to see when invading other players and spawning in a city. Like I said: well optimised game for low VRAM GPUs like the "4080 12 GB" ^^

That’s unfortunate to hear that it’s still very difficult to run. Loved the first CS, really had high hopes for this one. Who knows, maybe it’ll be optimised in the future!

Genuine question - do you have the same setup and if so do you get no stutters with these settings?

@ 13900k overclocked, ddr5 32 gigs 6800 speed tight timings, 4080, nvme drives older windows build and version, older nvidia drivers, old bios on mobo so no new intel junk for cpu micro code… msfs2020 and 24 1440p upscaled to 4k 60fps no dlss mix of high and ultra settings, no stutters smooth 60fps..

So not exactly the same settings and setup.. of course it will run differently. This was my very first time loading into the game. No optimisations made, nothing cached either. Not ruling out an issue with my system but there’s nothing apparent, and I’ve read online that other people are having stutters even with the 4090 and 14900k.

@ well I also got a 14700k setup overclocked better than my 13900k setup using a rtx 3080 upscaling 1080 p to 4k getting 30fps smooth as silk on high settings… overclock cpu, ram stock speeds. 64 gig kit, 3080, older windows build, older nvidia drivers, old stock board bios no intel micro code updates, nvme drives.. u gotta optimize windows, bios, ram, micro codes updates, services, background apps like screen capture, usb devices, etc…. I don’t use dlss because it destroy texture quality… on this system I, only using msfs2024 but it runs and looks great for what I force the rtx 3080 to do… stutters in anything is usually the os level, and latency at hardware level.. the two areas to test and optimize.. stable cpu overclocked, using all cores, ram timings, and speed, nvme storage fast, also internet needs to work and stream fast and smoothly with minimal latency on router, cable or fiber c9nnection and system.. msfs relies on networking so that needs to be perfect

Where did I mention ultra high quality?.. this was to show performance with settings at ultra, with dlss on. Not really sure what you’re getting at..

Hopefully more improvements will be made, it’s still early so there is hope!

try changing texture resolution to medium and keep everything high. The game still looks good but somehow I got from 15 fps to 50

I have a 4070ti paired with an i7-13700k and I have it set to what the nvidia app sets it to(mostly high and ultra) and it runs buttery smooth.

Graphically and feature-wise I would say it’s better, but the performance isn’t what I was expecting. I’m not sure if that’s because it’s poorly optimised or it’s just a harder game to run.

Sounds like cope to me. Yes pc high end gaming is more more expensive these days but the graphics are also generations ahead of what was possible in 2016. And no a 700 dollar rig could not do 60fps at native 4k ultra setting in 2016 as well lol, it would be over 1500 dollars at least even then. This game in the video is also using a lot of raytracing as well which is incredibly demanding.
