A Conservation Conversation: Creating Healthy, Diverse, & Sustainable Pollinator Communities
Просмотров 140Год назад
The term, ‘conservation’, is tossed around a lot, and often without adequate appreciation of its meaning or interpretation. Simply put, to ‘conserve’ something is to preserve or protect something which you value from things which would harm it. Sounds reasonable enough. However, in reality, people value different things and in different ways, impacting their ideas of what conservation is and me...

Silence Is Not An Option

The most important action you can take is to call your legislator TODAY - both your senator and your representative. They are currently voting on a bill (SB23-192), that if left as it now stands, will deny local governments and their communities the ability to limit where and how pesticides are used, blocking us from choosing how best to protect our families, pollinators, birds and our environm...

While people try to buy the perfect garden that isn't sustainable I'll be growing over time to ultimately create the best for my environment
Can I have free seeds? I'm really interested with wild flowers. BTW I'm from Philippines. 😊
well they wont be native to your region if you get these seeds...
Great video! I feel more competent to try gathering some seeds from my garden now! Thank you!
Thanks! Do you have any information on collecting yarrow seeds?
Here's one suggested technique minus the use of plastic bags. Paper is better because it allows the seeds to breathe. ruclips.net/video/9J2WLDu4MBk/видео.html
Thanks for the native plant seed collecting tips, Lisa!
Cool cool thanks
Thanks Lisa!

21:13 dandelions... about the only flowering plant I've seen around town; have documented observations on iNaturalist. Haven't seen pollinators visiting them yet
I keep wishing we had some serious pollinator habitat along US36 bikeway.
Tip: DIY street-level images with Mapillary especially useful for places Google, Apple will never visit; plays nice with crowdsourced OpenStreetMap.
Really great! Thanks Lisa
Nice video! Thanks, Lisa!
