The Barricade fenders came with all the connectors needed, so no splicing of wires was required. I have been warned by a buddy who had a set, that I might have to get the powder coating redone. This would especially be a concern for anyone living where they salt or brine the roads. The only splicing I had to do was for the headlights I installed last February.

I did an install on my white Jeep the same way. I have a new set of lights to install…I’ll add some info on the Controller and how it’s wired. Yes, they were the 3.5” triple rate HD springs they’re good to 750 pounds over stock. I really liked them, on my White manual, but after adding the rear bumper and tire carrier it was just too much. I ran the Clayton’s and airbags, I thought the Dobbinsons would be enough on their own, but ended up having to add airbags and spacers to get the Jeep back up to level.

Yes, the airbags are for the extra weight I carry and the fact that the Dobbinson Springs are not quite enough for all that weight by themselves.

@StartBuildingYourDreams thanks I'm planning on using high capacity aev springs for the First time my weight coming around 700 I'm wondering it's going to stay level with loaded or should I also add airbags or weight spacers

Aev has great customer service. I would see how it rides with just the springs and then if you have to go to spacers, I would do that over airbags initially. The airbags can also limit your articulation in the back.

What about snow? ❄️ I’d imagine you would be fine in snow…It’s the same Sy-Klone used by the military and on heavy equipment. Where you’re going to see the most benefit is really in those extremely dusty environments.

Absolutely. The 3.5” is the way to go and it’s Black Friday Sales time so it’s the best time of year for Jeep Parts lol

@@trey5912 I don’t have any plans and just created one using cardboard. If you’re looking for other half bed solutions, check out Dirtbox overland. They have a compost top slide option very similar to what I built. We did an interview with them at Overland Expo East.

@@TheViewFromMyOffice I’ve always had the Kore Performance variable rate front springs since I installed the bull bar. They’re probably a bit stiffer than stock and a little more forgiving over bumps. I never noticed any major handling differences. You might lose a little bit of lift height with the added weight. I think you’ll probably be fine. A lot of folks run Ranch hand style bumpers on stock springs. You may want to consider going to different coils at some point if it majorly affects your driving, but these trucks are heavy from the start. You could always look for some snow plow front springs on markerplace or other lift springs.

@@Nonyabizness411 you need about a 1/2 hole to mount it. I don’t have the exact specks. The nut is between 3/4 and 1-1/18”. They come with a small wrench, but they’re just a cheap stamped wrench and can round off. If you have questions you can always call and ask. You can also tighten it by hand too. Which is basically what I did for both this one and my Big 5 Overland 43” antenna.

@@youngjet63 The antenna works great, but I switched to the 43” Big Five Overland Antenna on my New Build. They’re both great companies. The B5O does come with some extras like a mounting brackets and allows you to switch out whip lengths. I don’t think midland does this. Neither one has a connector at the antenna base, which is a pain if you run the cable through the grill like I did.

@@frankferber3225 A solo pull-pal mount would probably work, but I didn’t have room for the Hi-Lift Jack and Pull-Pal Combo mounting bracket.

Reach out to Snorkel Upgrade they’ll be happy to assist with options and advice. They have tape and adapters depending on type of snorkel. I know several folks actually chop the Dobinsons where it necks down. ARB or another brand might give you better airflow. Zach or Issac will likely know.

Thanks for the comment! No they really are pretty straightforward and bolt right up. I didn’t have to move anything except for the wiring harnesses plugs. I just put the z-bracket on the driver’s side between the fender and the reservoir. I have seen some Ecodiesel owners switch to a different style reservoir, but I’ll worry about that if the factory one ever breaks.

Definitely a cool build. You wouldn’t expect a V6 in a purpose built rock crawler like that.

The measurements in there Back: 1:00:25 I’m currently on 40s on my Ecodiesel. Had to swap fenders and Liners. You get about 4-4.5” of lift at first, and then it will settle into about 3.5-4”. Plenty of clearance for 37s. Garage clearance also depends on pitch of your driveway. You also gain about 12” of down travel over stock.

Yes Sir, I bought a 04/ 2500 5.9 with a Bully Dog GT, and I turned it off until I learn more about it, I will watch your utube video again, is their supposed to be some new studs installed ? To be able to use the bully dog.

@@brenth.hillier5796 it really depends on what other mods the previous owner did. I run it on tow 90% of the time. It advances the timing, changes the injector map adds ~50hp and noticeably quiets everything down. ARP head Studs and a head gasket is always a good idea, mine is still stock with only an AFE intake and elbow. Performance really wakes everything up, and In extreme you can toast a transmission if your heavy on the throttle. 47re and 48re transmissions aren’t always the most reliable for added power. If you got the NV5600 manual you’re golden. But I would keep it in tow. I wouldn’t add low end torque unless you have a built transmission. Cummins are known for destroying transmissions, with that in mind it’s best to roll on the throttle and avoid stomping on it. Congrats on the new truck.

I had the 37s on my 3.6 Gas Gladiator and other than the topper and rear bumper it was the same setup with the manual and 4:10s. The torque of the Diesel is significantly higher so it still runs in 7th and 8th on the interstate. I can tell a difference in acceleration, it’s not as peppy as it was with the 37s.
