Very true, but if you touch them you'll get stuck, vehicles will bug out and become completely frozen (and pretty much unusable until you summon them in a different spot). But if your vehicle AND you get stuck in it and you get saved there..... Ooof...

The very first quest with the scanner? Iirc you need to locate a tree with a guy sitting on top of it (the guy that thinks he's a python)

When you run around during your regular grind, check your wide range scanner from time to time. If you see a little LED where it says "Signal" flashing in morse code - you have a signal in the area. Then just put it on medium and scan. Forest is a little tricky tho, because of the huge ravine in the middle, so sometimes you can detect the signal on the other side keep that in mind

Signals have set locations, deleted my reply because I thought you meant caches from metal detectors. But yeah these have set locations and usually you get signals in the exact same spots as before, or like a meter close

When you get the mission to find a better suit (that has at least 100 rad protection) and then sent to the Junkyard to talk to Diggers. As soon as you get to diggers base the Junkman gives you the detector and sends you on a short mission to get some radioparts for him (basically a tutorial on how to use the metal detector).

No special stuff, just moving. The armor doesn't affect it whatsoever. It's all about the momentum really, if you're running and getting into one of those - it just licks you for a second (you can do that woth Vortex as well, but pretty hard to do). I even managed to swing myself out of whirligigs a couple of times (gaining momentum by swinging in it) but it requires flawless timing (tried to replicate it in another video but OBS lowering fps makes it harder for me sadly so I died xD). As for bushes and terran - yes, it gets harder because you have to adapt. If the anomaly is on a lower ground level and your're trying to go up - death. If you get sucked into one and touch the bush (lose momentum) then - death. If you get hit by mutants when you're sucked in - death. But generally walking/running around the map the whirligigs are pretty much useless.

Well i did one swing in this video, but it was more like a half-swing, but still worked out nicely Also I might add that I didn't use any movement speed buffs, in fact I had a movement speed penalty (3% from my armor, do my ms was 97%)
