*update* - It's in the oven now! If I didn't grate the cheese myself, this would've only taken 20 mins to prep, and that includes heating up the canned tomato soup. I sliced up and toasted an entire loaf of Italian bread instead of using a pre-sliced bread.

Not for us. Individual sandwiches with soup would've been better. Thanks anyway!

Great ideas I have a pizza cutter and didn’t think of it the knife was handy lol Sheets may be better but they tend to be a bit thicker I find The other option is to make your own dough that way you can parcel it out to your liking

Yes I think a good description is a marble cake although most of the chocolate flavour is on the bottom

It really did although not as clear as the pictures I saw I was surprised how it did move to the bottom

Your right I don’t have a Mexican background and I just go by recipes I find This one was called enchilada and I will find out the real differences

my Google search says burritos are hand held and enchiladas use a fork Check the other says flour tortillas for burritos and corn tortillas for enchilada No check there. I’ll keep that in mind for the next time thanks

@miekexploringstuff In this case, Google is not your friend. There is a lot more different between a burrito and an enchilada than whether you eat them by hand or a fork! Burritos are dry flour tortillas with the sides folded in, then rolled to contain the filling. A wet burrito is then covered with a sauce and sometimes baked. A burrito can be filled with almost any filling, eggs, potatoes, meat, rice, beans, guacamole, sour cream, salsa, cheese, lettuce, etc. A burrito can be unbaked, baked or fried (chimichanga) and with or without a sauce (wet burrito). Conversely, there are fewer variations for enchiladas. The tortillas are fried or heated, dipped in sauce, filled with meat and/or cheese, rolled without folding in the sides, placed in a baking dish with the bottom covered with red chili, green chili or suiza sauce, more sauce is poured over the top along with cheese then baked. The only filling variations would be a few slices of black olives per enchilada placed with the filling. No sauteed bell peppers, onions or other ingredients are added to the sauce although lettuce, raw onion, cotija cheese or queso fresco can be placed on top when serving. When you fully understand these differences, you will see that even though you used corn tortillas, you made a baked "wet" burrito and not true enchiladas. For those of us who value authentic Mexican recipes, calling a wet or baked burrito an enchilada is akin to Mexican food heresy!

You re right some recipes miss a few things especially with spices I have tried brining chicken (and turkey) it does a great job at flavouring but I’ve never tried using chicken stock

The last time I made this I swear someone was licking the pan when it was empty. I’ve already had 2 requests to make it again. Plus it’s so simple to make
