Covering 100 miles with over 20,500 feet of ascent, it challenges runners with technical single-track trails, jeep roads, and gravel paths. Brock Covington is an athlete and entrepreneur based in Colorado Springs, CO. He is the co-founder of Switchback.
REGARDING MY FEET: My feet were quite waterlogged despite changing socks during my race. The incessant exposure to mud and water make it difficult to leave this race unscathed. That being said, I was walking on...

I don’t like this kind of race at all. Its pretty selfish to ask for that level of help from everyone. Just to say you did it and putting your body through all that, why? Why not just run a marathon faster instead of running for over a day.

My largest volume weeks were around 14-16 hours of running per week (70-70 miles), back to back weekend long runs were 20-30 miles each day, and 8,000-12,000 ft gain per week

Do people know that in the Real, Original Marathon, the guy dies at the end? 100 miles through wilderness, danger not only by the mountainside but on the fauna level. This is dangerous for all entities involved during those 100 miles.

So, this is ABSOLUTELY epic. Astounding to know what the body is capable of. I love your tenacity, your determination, and grit. Your team held you, but more importantly, you held yourself. 100 miles? In that!???! You should feel so proud. Many, many congratulations. Now I want to train and try!! What have I got to loose! But sincerely, congratulations. 💯

There is zero reason anyone's feet should ever look like that, no matter how far of a distance you have run. That is purely due to lack of care and attention to taking care of your feet. making life hard for yourself is not an achievement
